Democracy- "Use it or lose it"

The event on July 5th, 2003 is called "A lesson in Self Government- Past, Present and the Future."

Our country was created as an experiment in self government with the premise that the people were "Supreme over the government" not the other way around.

During the day I will have some discussion groups going on, the two main topics will be "When laws cause more harm than the behavior that they are trying to correct" and "Corporate control of our Democratic process"- some issues that affect nearly every aspect of our lives, sometimes in ways we don't even know about.

There will be speakers talking about various community concerns along with music in the evening from talented local performers.

The event will be held at the Point Cadet Plaza, at the foot of the Biloxi- Ocean Springs bridge in Biloxi, Mississippi. Saturday, July 5th, from 12 am till 9pm.

Food and drink will be available-ice chests OK-Please be responsible!
