SUPPORT the NATIONAL DAY OF ACTION: EVICT
THE DEA!
Dear Washington DC People:
MEDICAL MARIJUANA ACTION THIS TUESDAY, FEBRUARY
18TH,
FEDERAL COURT
8:00 AM to 9:30 AM
SUPPORT the NATIONAL DAY OF ACTION: EVICT
THE DEA!
Last night the DC Action group decided to
go to the Federal Court House on Penn Ave. on Tuesday, February
18th at 8:00 AM to 9:30 AM to hand out leaflets designed to inform
jurors and the general public that they should acquit in any marijuana
case because they are not going to be informed as to whether the
person on trial is legitimately using or providing medical marijuana.
We going to make the argument that since the intent of DC citizens
is that there is an exception to rule when it comes to medical
marijuana, no person should be convicted because evidence of medical
necessity and local laws are not made available to jurors (currently,
as in the case of people medical marijuana providers in California,
this evidence can be withheld in federal marijuana cases).
This protest is as much about DC self governance
as it is medical rights. PLEASE COME!
In addition, we are making a huge banner
that reads "Acquit All Marijuana Cases." We are making
this banner on Sunday night.
