Administrators and Language Teachers Needed
Dear Friends:
We have the beginning of a project to establish
an Akha Language Teacher's School at one village location.
Students from other villages will be coming
to the school to stay for a period of time, while learning to
read and write the Akha Language, and will then return to their
villages to teach the children and adults in their villages.
Construction cost of the school, housing
and cooking facility is $25,000.

Dear Friends:
Still looking for people interested in buying
green coffee beans or helping set up a coffee roasting operation
for Akha coffee.
On to other matters.
I am looking to build a committed staff for
our organization.
The amount of time that I must spend in the
villages, the number of villages, now over 300, the conditions
of the roads all require that I get greater help to support this
project such that I can continue to be free to deliver services
into the villages.
I am in need with people who have one of
the following skills and who can make a committment of time to
assist in their area of specialty.
1. Web skill
2. Photographic - video skill
3. Public relations experience
4. Water system and road engineering skill.
5. Fundraising skill on a personal level
who work well within their community be it in the US or Europe.
6. Grant writing skill is also needed. This
requires researching grants, query letters, filling out applications
and following them throughout the year. Re-applying is often required
after the first year.
7. Since much of the work is heavily publication
based, someone with Pagemaker publishing experience is needed.
8. Constant road time puts a lot of wear
on the truck, so a person experienced with welding and vehicle
maintenance is needed.
9. Book keeping.
10. Caretakers for different project locations,
housing can be arranged.
